There are many reasons for alcohol sweating and its affects are little known to most people. Many people do not consider excess sweating to be a problem. The people who consider the condition do not associate it with consumption of alcohol. It is a social drink that is consumed on a regular basis by people at social events. As a result, no one can relate how alcohol and excessive sweating at night are connected. If you are suffering from abnormal sweat conditions, alcohol related sweating may be the main reason for your discomfort.

It is important for you to know how alcohol affects body metabolism causing you to sweat. Once you consume lots of alcohol, it ends up dilating your blood vessels. Many people can certainly feel a hot flush all over their body some time after drinking alcohol. The dilated blood vessels end up increasing the overall body heat and temperature. As a result, the body tries to restore itself back to normal temperature conditions by sweating. The amount of sweating varies with the body structure of different people and the amount of alcohol consumed. Some might sweat bit, but most people start to sweat uncontrollably, especially at night.

Alcohol is also responsible for bringing about a sense of dizziness as you start feeling light in the head. You can undergo a wide range of emotions in that period. There might be certain times, when your body might find your reaction to be a threat. The brain is responsible for activating the “fight or flight” response at that moment. The first thing your body does is to remove harmful substance and flush toxins out of your body through excessive sweating. The effects of alcohol sweating are spread all over your body and might start to cause problems for you when you least expect it.

When you consume too much of alcohol, you are too busy with other conditions to keep a track of sweating. However, if you do not control it at the right time, alcohol sweating can ruin your life in a lot of ways. Sometimes, you might wake up in the middle of the night, completely drenched in sweat. This might happen because you had alcohol previously in the day. This excess sweating can cause lots of problems in parties and social events. Your clothes would get completely drenched and you cannot change them while you are out. If you continue to keep sweating without any reason, people might even get the wrong idea about you.

There are lots of ways in which you can bring your condition under control. The best way is to abstain from alcohol completely. If you do want to have an occasional drink, you can try red wine or beer as they have the least effect on sweat. However, if you are ready to consume beverages like white wine and champagne, you should be ready for profuse sweating. You can also consult a doctor on the best way your sweating can be reduced. Having a healthy and a balanced diet and keeping your body hydrated are extremely important. If you try the right methods, you would never be bothered by alcohol sweating again.
