Important Information About Driclor

This drug is used to treat hyperhidrosis and comes in a solution for topical application.

An application of Driclor is used in the evening after one has washed the affected areas such as under the arm, hands, feet etc. In the morning the solution needs to be washed off and one must not re-apply the medication during the day. One needs to apply this medication as a sweating cure only and once the sweating has subsided one application twice a week is sufficient.

If you are using this medication for a child you may only apply the solution to the child’s feet. Do not use this drug on inflamed or broken skin. Always make sure that the affected areas are completely dry before applying the solution.

Do not apply to recently shaven skin and avoid direct contact with clothing as well as polished metal surfaces. Do not apply near the eyes. Should Driclor cause an irritation this can be alleviated with a cortisone based cream. So Its suggested you have one just in case.

The solution is relatively safe to use if you follow the instructions properly. Like any medication what works for one may not work for another. This medication is a known cure for excessive sweating disorders.

If you feel driclor is not working for you then you can also have a look at other options which have been written on the site.

Before Using Driclor:

Make sure not to Over do it. This is important as its quiet powerful and people have reported to suffer from peeling as they have applied it more then three times.

Apply Before Sleep

Don’t apply on cuts or recently shaven skin

Ensure the area is dry.

Do not use hair removal cream just before the use of Driclor

Wash and dry the area to which you have treated it.

Its known to cause temporary redness and irritation.

What happens if you miss a dose ?

Nothing really. Some people who suffer from mild Hyperhidrosis only find the need to use it once in a while. Notice how your body reacts to it and adjust accordingly

What happens if you overdose ?

Like all medications some people don’t get the desired results and they might thus use a over dose. Mostly irritation is reported and you can try a moisturerizer to help you but if it gets worse you need to consult a doctor.

I guess you could say I had tried everything. Not literally everything but I had had all the maximum protection creams and 48 hour antiperspirant sprays that just never seemed to work. And to this day, I have never found anything as amazing as driclor. It has literally changed my life – I am a much more confident person, free from the sweat patches I used to have. Words cannot describe how much I love this product.

so which is best?? driclor or drysol out of the two brand? it seems that most people from Asia use driclor and here in western part we use drysol. i suffer from hyperhidrosis for as long as i can remember. im 27 now. i literally cut down on caffine and stuff cause it makes it worst or it would actually make me sweat. for example, if i drank coffee in the morning and added some sugar and as soon as i finish a cup my hands and feet start to sweat like crazy. matter a fact my hands are sweating right now. i really want try this product out but i wana know which is best. it seems that we dont have any here in the united states from what i was told. i actually went to safeway today hoping to find some drysol. nothing. well, if you guys can please give me some info. by the way im Asian American.

hi! will this product eliminates B.o.?? since i sweat a lot, i might consider to use this one but the problem is that, when i put a liquid thing on my pits, the more that they get stinkier.. i just hope this one works. :)

admin July 8, 2011 at 6:29 am

@lumen : yes you can use on your hands.

@bash: body odour is caused due to the reaction of bacteria + sweat so if you prevent the sweating it should help. If this does not get rid of your problem then you should visit a doctor and find out more.

I have been using Driclor for a few days now and am careful to dry my pits before applying it, but it still really stings all through the night and a little bit after I have washed it off in the day. It also has make my underarm skin go really puffy but not red. I really don\’t want to stop using it because it has completely stopped my constant sweating in the day, but the constant irritation is really getting me down. What should I do?

Christina Lopez August 4, 2011 at 3:49 pm

I have been suffering with excessive underarm sweating my whole life, I have seen a handful of doctors and tried everything I can think of. I recently started using a product called 1-2Dry and it has been working really great. It absorbs all the sweat in these little comfortable pads that go under my clothes- which ensures no one can see it and I don\\\’t get any embarrassing stains! Hope this might help others with my same problem!

Can I use it for my kid age 8?

admin August 21, 2011 at 2:03 am

It should not be a problem but I would suggest first checking with a doctor.

admin August 21, 2011 at 2:06 am

you don’t need to use driclor for 7 days . Just two days is fine and then you should be set for a week. Rinse and repeat and then increase the gap from one week to two and further if possible.

This product is amazing.

Pro: Works a charm. No sweat, none. I can wear any clothing again. Very very happy.

Cons: Soreness when applied and for hours after. Going to try some weak corticosteroid cream.

Angelo March 2, 2012 at 1:05 am

Hi,

Is it ok to use drisol after you used deodorant during the day without washing underams before applying drisol?
( I use baking soda, and I was wondering if it would be ok) I have used other aluminium chloride solutions, and make my underarm smell if I didnt put baking soda afterwards (30 minutes after using the solution).

Thank you

Rachael December 8, 2012 at 3:52 am

As per the instructions above the way to use driclor is as follows:
- only use at night just before going to bed after you have washed the effected area and dried completely.
- use for 7 to 10 consecutive days the first time you use it then cut it down to twice a week. If you miss an application, it doesn\\\’t matter. Just apply the next night.
- don\\\’t apply during the day.
- if using on your underarms, like all other areas, apply at night and then in the morning use a deodorant for the nice smell as Driclor is odourless.

All info is included in the leaflet that comes with the bottle.

If you are in the states use Maxim.
