Dear friends,

As we all know, hyperhidrosis (an eccentricity of the sympathetic nervous system) can be an extremely limiting condition, and will severely reduce productivity, and overall functioning. After attempting various methods of cure, I am pleased to announce the following method (completely natural, no drugs, no medicine, completely free) that seems to work for me (subject to conditions). Please do provide feedback if this works for other people too, as this method should be passed on to assist people suffering from this condition.

Temporary suppression of Hyperhidrosis through Induced fatigue:

Conditions of operation: The effectiveness of this method is greatly reduced in extremely hot weather, or during high humidity or rain. However, it still has proved to be the most effective method thus far that I have tried.

1) The night before preparation: Have a shower (not too warm that you start sweating after) just before going to bed. If you happen to feel you're begging to sweat after the shower, try to sit in front of a fan whilst remaining completely calm and allow your body to drop in temperature until sweating is reduced as much as possible

2) Minimum sleep: The idea is to get just enough sleep so you are not completely drowsy the next morning, but less than your average so you are in a state of moderate fatigue. Adjust your shower and sleeping timing so that you sleep at the right time to allow for this "optimum sleep time". For me, this turns out to be about 6.5 to 7 hours. Note: the earlier you wake up the better, as its generally colder in the mornings, and this will assist your body in maintaining a low temperature. (e.g. i sleep at around 12:30, and wakeup around 7am)

3) Important factors: Do NOT shower in the morning!, Make sure you do not engage in physically intensive activities in the morning, Sleep with a bedding that does not promote too much insulation, so you are not too warm in the morning, preferably open a window or use a temperature slightly lower than the ambient temperature in your bedroom.

4) Additional factors: It may help to engage in an intensive workout exercise the evening before, so the sequence would be as follows: Good workout exercise > cool off time (2~3hours) > shower (not too hot) just before sleeping > sleep later than usual > wakeup early (preferably around sunrise). Also, employ strategies to promote a state of relaxation, as fear, stress or over-excitation can trigger a sweating episode.

5) Things to consider: You will be more tired than usual due to reduced sleeping hours, however, through careful application of this method, you will soon be able to extrapolate the optimum required sleep time to make this effective for you. Also, you will be more prone to urinating than usual, make sure you visit the toilet more often. This is because liquids are not being eliminated through your sweat channels anymore.

Please provide feedback!. Thank you! I hope this method helps others as it has helped me.

Regards,
DangerousWhenWet

Hi,
This is a good share and expect point 2. I don't think that really would help.

I would agree to them as a life style choice. Were you able to stop your sweating completely ? Have you tried a raw diet I have heard that helps too.

Sunny skies :)

Hi there Pinker,

Yes I've tried everything from homeopathy, ayurveda, to raw food diet. None of the methods/medications were able to eliminate excessive sweating, or with negligible results. However, this method of induced fatigue has proven to be the most affective (point two is vital to this method, and yes, for me at least, it definitely helps). I don't sweat at all until triggered by either hot or humid weather, increased physical activity, or emotional/psychological factors, after which, the usual hyperhidrosis episode would occur: palm/feet/armpit concentrated sweating.

My history: have had hyperhidrosis as far as I can remember, not genetically inherited as none of my family (immediate and extended) have this condition.

Hypothesis: I'm currently investigating links with asthma medications given at an early age relating to the development of hyperhidrosis (non-gentically inherited) through possibly causing impairment in the normal functioning of the sympathetic nervous system, or maybe offsetting adrenal activity. Specifically Ventolin or similar steroids. I have seen many cases where people suffering from hyperhidrosis have been diagnosed with asthma at a young age. Through my research it has become increasingly apparent that the lungs play an important role in perspiration and water metabolism in the body.

Thank you for your feedback!

Kind regards,

Hi, I just had to share my experiences as well. I've had hyperhidrosis for the past few years until recently. Tried so many different things from botox, to drinking apple cider vinegar, magnesium supplements and even done the ETS surgery earlier in the year. The only thing that ALMOST worked was the surgery but the dryness only lasted a month or two.

Then, I stumbled across a book written by Mike Ramsey over the internet. Very simple solutions, involving a loofah sponge, choosing the right deodorant and a couple of other simple and low cost remedies. I followed his instructions for about a month and it is completely gone (couldnt believe it myself originally but it has worked).

Seriously give it a try, it may not work for everyone but it has definitely worked for me. I'm no marketing agent, I'm not trying to sell anything here, just a person who used to suffer from this condition and would like to share that there is something out there that could work.. The solutions captured in his book is definitely worth a shot, especially compared to the price of all the other alternatives.
