
Your body sweats to keep your self cool by the law of heat transfer. It often happens when you exercise your you are nervous. In certain cases a person suffers from hyperhidrosis where sweating comes in excess due to the sweat glands.
Your sweat glands secrete the sweat and an average human being is suppose to have around 2.5 million of them. Sweat glands are long tubes of cell which resides in the dermis and there is an opening to the surface called a pore where the sweat comes out. See picture for a visual representation.
What is surprising to many people is that we are always sweating even if we don’t notice this. Once the sweat glands gets a stimulation it secrets a liquid which is made of

water, sodium , chloride and potassium
We sweat to keep our bodies cool and this has a relation to physics as the water which is on our body evaporates it takes heat away from our body.
When sweating occurs besides exercise or emotional stress is called hyperhidrosis. The reasons why this occurs is not yet confirmed but it may be due to diet, some kind of hormonal imbalance, thyroid gland.
